When your door closes but stops short, you may need to reset the controller. A reset will reprogram the door's fully closed position. A controller reset can also fix other opening or closing issues.
The correct RESET procedure for your door depends on the controller you have installed at your home. If you do not know which controller you have, don't worry as you can use either procedure and it will NOT damage your system in any way.
Step 1: Manually close the doors. You may have to press the UNLOCK button to release the magnetic brake holding the door.
Step 2:

Step 3:
Test the door. Use the wall switch to OPEN the door a few feet followed by CLOSE operation. If you door is still not closing properly, manually close the again and try one of the other reset procedures.
But my wall switch does not have a RESET button...
Installations using our G2 Controller may not have a RESET button as it is not used for this model. However some new installs using our G1, G1D or G3 controller may have been installed with our updated 4 button wall switch which by design lacks the reset button.
If this is the case, a reset for the G1, G1D or G3 controller can be done by pressing both STOP and UNLOCK simultaneously for the required 10 or 15 seconds.
